Happy Easter Everyone!

While spring season continues to hold on to it's bitter post winter cold, I'm taking solace in seeing the sun rise earlier and earlier every day as I drive into to work at the film office 😊 March went by like a flash and we are already almost halfway through April, and I cannot wait for May. I can confirm that this is going to be the most successful year in the history of my business and I am so happy to have reached this point in my life. In addition, I had probably the best display table we've ever had at the All Dressed In White Wedding Trade Show last Sunday and we've already starting getting inquires.

Feeling really happy to be heading into the busiest wedding season I've ever had, with tons of laughs and smiles and memories to be had!

On that note, I still have a few openings for my day of mini photo sessions on April 24th. If you want some awesome family/couple/solo/you and your dog photos done, DM for times!

After all the challenges and general doo doo we've had to deal with the last two years, I'm ready to rock come this summer! Who's with me? 😄

How does February always seem so long, despite being so short? This month has been

insanely busy, between the BC Wedding Restrictions finally being lifted, the influx of new potential clients, preparing for the summer wedding season to come, as well as the demand at my film job kicking into overdrive.

But in all that time, I also got to get away from it all, if only briefly. I got to return to Los Angeles for the first time in 20 years! I got to go to Universal Studios for the first time ever and I spent far too much money on Butter Beer 😂

This impromtu trip also kicked me into gear in terms of planning future trips, including the long delayed honeymoon trip to the UK! Things are not set in stone yet due to the current climate of ... well everything happening in Europe, but we are still hopeful.

Along with that, a camping trip, and a possible Mexico trip all lie in wait, and I am supremely excited. I never was one for travelling in my 20's due to my financial struggles and I have envied those who went on amazing adventures, while I stayed at home paying off my student debt.

Well, that debt has long since been paid off, and I'm looking for some adventure!!!

Looking forward to see what March has in store for me. Until then, I think I'm going to have another go around on the go-kart track! Driving as fast as I can around people in a somewhat safe environment is somehow cathartic to me 🤣

So how to start this? The last time I did blog entries was when I was still living in 100 Mile House as newspaper sports journalist.

So to give a quick introduction, my name is Jeremy Hannaford and I love to capture moments in time with my camera. I've

been doing photography for more than half my life, and videography professionally for the better part of a decade now, and I would love to capture your special day. Whether it be a wedding, engagement, family gathering, birthday, newborn, ETC! There is nothing like capturing a literal moment in history for my clients and the joy and emotion I can see, both in the moment, and the response is one of the greatest joys I can get in life.

I've worked several jobs in customer service, a short stint in journalism, and currently have been working in the BC Film Industry for over 7 years now, and I feel I have found my calling in the wedding photography/videography industry.

I was always so hesitant to try and make this hobby/passion of mine a job until I got the opportunity to photograph a high school classmate's wedding and that was the wake up call!

I'm so excited for what 2022 has in store for me! I have the most amount of weddings booked in the history of my business, and I'm already starting to fill up my 2023 schedule!

Yesterday, I got to do something I've never done before! I got to a wedding gown/couple model shoot on Granville Island with photographer superstar Esther Moerman and the photos look amazing! Despite the early morning chill, we got to capture some fantastic photos of this lovely couple along the waterfront! (Photo above 😀)

Oh, and I saw the BARGE! Having heard so much about it, I actually laughed when I finally saw it.

So in closing with this new first blog post, I can't wait to talk about my adventures in life with you all. You'll see results from my weddings, hear stories about my experiences, and I might talk about my forays into the film industry as there are definitely some stories to tell there!

So Happy Sunday to you all, and here's to making 2022 goals a reality!
